CHRISTMAS ON BELL STREET

The annual twilight shopping extravaganza returns to Torquay’s Bell Street this tonight. Save the date and enjoy a glass of champagne with the wonderful Bell Street traders from 6-9pm. Enjoy Christmas carols, alongside Christmas cheer and browse an assortment of homewares, women’s clothing and accessories from stores including Frankie Say Relax and Gypsy
and CO. Don’t miss your chance to get your Christmas shopping sorted early and gifts wrapped. Avoid the shopping centre nightmare and come and support the small businesses on Bell.

SIZE MATTERS FOR LARGER THAN LIFE SHOW

The Size Queens are bringing their class act, honed across stages of Melbourne, to the Torquay Bowls Club. Head down
on Saturday and enjoy the show from 8pm onwards. Size Queens have been entertaining Melbourne and beyond
for five years, Missy LaMinx, Sasha Starr and Taylor Made have more than 25 years of experience on stage between
them. The show’s fusion of pop, disco and dance floor Classics will have you  on your feet and dancing. Tickets online
from trybooking.com/YWHV or over the bar, $20 for members or $25 for nonmembers.

SWEETFEST SUNDAYS

Sweetfest is a mini-festival created to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of Sweethearts: the all-girl, all-soul, highschool
aged band. Sweetfest will be running throughout the little Malop Street precinct from noon-6.30pm, utilising outdoor stage spaces and local venues Pistol Pete’s, the Workers Club and Beavs Bar. Sweetfest is be completely free and accessible to the public. The legendary Bernard Purdie (James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis) will be coming to Australia for the first time in over 20 years to specifically work with the  Sweethearts so do not miss it.
