LAST Thursday saw the annual Jan Juc Surf Lifesaving Club’s Golf Classic held at the RACV Torquay resort, presented by Muirfield Financial Services.
Teams of four from businesses across the region gathered to play a round of golf across the 18-hole course.
Brad Papworth from the Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club said it was a great day out for everyone involved.
“We had a full field of 34 teams participating,” Brad said.
“Daryl Moss and his team of volunteers did a fantastic job in organising the day, including the raffle, auction prizes, winner prizes and on-course activities.”
The overall winners were a team made up of Andrew Bond, Ryan Warnock, Jeremy Bond and Dean Coleman on a score of 48.75.
The total amount raised for Jan Juc SLSC during the Golf Classic was more than $25,000, which will go towards vital equipment needed to keep beachgoers safe through the year and especially summer.
