FOUR athletes from the CB Strong Crew competed last Saturday at the North-East Strongest Man and Woman competition in Beechworth.
The team had four athletes entered in five events and came away with a first place, two fourths and a seventh. Victoria Stewart won her category and the result means she’s qualified for the for the prestigious Arnold Strongman Australian Competition to be held in Melbourne in March.
That event will see Stewart go up against some of the best open weight category women from around Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Events at the Beechworth event included the 75kg Viking press, natural stone loading with weights starting at 64kg up going up to 102kg, a lumberjack dead lift, a Dannatt stone lift which is a 50kg stone attached to a 30kg chain, and a Binks Stones replica lift.
